How does reading work?
A story opens the linked article first when a URL exists. From there, comments stay one click away.
Why do some stories show a visual cover and others do not?
Some publishers expose usable preview metadata or page visuals, while others do not. HackNe falls back to a branded cover treatment when needed.
Does the app use the official Hacker News API?
Yes. Stories, comments, and user profiles are loaded from the official public Hacker News API.
Can I browse comments and user profiles?
HackNe supports threaded comments. The story submitter profile is available from the comments screen.
What iOS version does HackNe require?
HackNe currently targets iOS 17.0 and later.
Does HackNe collect personal data?
